Founding partners, Mark Peters and Lesley Brovner, have decades of experience managing investigations and litigation at the highest levels of government and in private practice.

During their four years running the New York City Investigation Department, Mark and Lesley worked closely with virtually every federal, state and local prosecutor and regulatory agency in New York.

In addition to running the City’s Investigation Department, Mark and Lesley served for many years in the New York State Attorney General’s Office, handling both criminal prosecutions and civil proceedings.  They also held senior roles at the New York Liquidation Bureau, a part of the State Department of Financial Services.

Given their diverse government background, Lesley and Mark collectively provide unique insights and counsel to clients facing criminal, regulatory or ethics-related investigations that have already been launched or are anticipated from such agencies as well as clients seeking to mitigate the risk of such investigations from the outset.
